Do you ever wonder what it would have been like in the episode titled Forever of the classic western series, Bonanza, if Joe's wife, Alice had lived and she had the baby and her and Joe lived happily ever after? I definitely have and I wished the show explored Joe's life as a husband and father and not have him remain the single flirtatious ladies man that he was. (Not that I didn't love him like that, haha.) Well, here is my attempt at just that, my own written version of Forever that I have titled, Forever Reimagined.

The story for the most part will contain almost exact dialogue from the original episode mixed in with my own original dialogue as a respect to the late and brilliant Michael Landon and his beautifully written script. So if you've seen the episode, then you'll recognize a lot of the dialogue and actions. I also added Adam into the story because I think it would have been wonderful if he had came to Joe's wedding. I also used some ideas from the made for TV Bonanza movie, The Return from 1995 and even added a twist with Joe's late brother, Hoss. (Hoss's death will remain in the story out of respect to Dan Blocker.)

I very much enjoyed writing this story as it was my first ever Bonanza story I had ever written being a big fan of the show and also to give the series a bit of closure since it never had a proper ending. But I hope you enjoy. Keep in mind, I am in no way a professional writer, this was more of me letting my creative mind go free and have fun!

Disclaimer: Based on the two part episode of the TV western series, Bonanza, created by David Dortort. Original air date: September, 12th, 1972. Written and directed by Michael Landon, based on characters created by David Dortort.

In light of readers telling me how much they enjoyed the short story collection, "Strange Mutations (one man's trash)", I decided to dig deeper into that old, smelly trash-bin and see what else I could scrounge up. So, readers beware, I will be publishing a slew of old stories under what I decided to call- "The throwback series". I needed to find a way to segregate these stories from my current writing because what's presented here are some rough drafts that spawned from an amateur who was just beginning to dip his toe into the world of literature and didn't have the slightest clue what he was doing. But don't run off!!! As long as you don't expect a bestseller, and keep an open mind, you may be surprised to find something you enjoy about these twisted tales. I do this only because I find it fun to go back as see how much I've grown as a writer from where I started, and only hope you have fun with them as well. Just don't hold it against me. I'll think you'll find a big difference in prose and style if you check out some recent stories under my profile. So first in the Throwback line-up is... Violent Faith. He has his sloppy moments, but if you stick around long enough, he just might surprise you and occasionally knock one out of the park. The title of this novella pretty much covers the plot, so sorry, no description really necessary. I was inspired to write this story after reading Jon Krakauer's novel, "Under the banner of heaven", which was based on true events. My story, however, is completely fictional. It is not meant to be an attack on any certain person or religious group, although it may seem that way at times. I was just having fun. I'm well aware that most Mormons are not psychopaths. It was just a fun theme to play around with. All persons, places, and events are nothing more than my imagination and not to be taken seriously. If you knew me, you'd know I should never be taken seriously. Cheers!! your friend, M.D. Stephens

This story is not always going to make sense, ive been sporadically writing it for the past year ish and its more of a vent book then something to be taken seriously. Im sure between the months alot of details have been missed or forgotten, but i have tried to stay as consistent as possible despite. The full story is stretched out over a few different books. All under the same title "I feel like i've lost years i haven't lived yet" Trigger warning: Eating disorders, Sexual assault, Rape, Violence, Severe abuse, kidnapping, Basically anything that you could think may be talked about in the book, it probably is. ------------------------ "Is this finally my life? Do i hold it with both hands? Do i try to live?" Carson is a child who has been in and out of the system for years. Her history leaves something more to be desired from life. More that she can never seem to reach. Atleast, not until she meets Phil and his family, that is. Phil is a man packed full of grief. Having watched his wife die right in front of him in a devestating car accident, he found himself unsure of if he was still fit to raise his boys. Hell, Phil was unsure of alot now a days. So when he got the call asking if he was willing to take in a severely abused young girl, Phil almost said no. But when he looked down at the three boys sitting in his living room, laughing at a random cartoon on an early sunday morning.. Phil couldn't find it in himself to say no to taking the girl. Would this family work out and become a home? Or would Carson be doomed to dift around foster care until she, inevitably, turned eighteen? ------------------------ Once again i am in no way a professional nor do i ever intend to be. Alot of these chapters are slightly based on some experiences ive had, specifically family, sibling, and or friends wise. I use this book as a way to vent my feelings on alot of situations i have personally experienced, while still trying to make it make some sort of sense.
