~ "Listen closer. Do you hear the ones falling in the water from the fountain? They sound different." When the other prince hummed in confirmation he continued, "The ones hitting the roof of the gazebo?" He waited for another 'mhm', "What about the leaves? The ones on the bushes sound different than the trees. And the drops from underneath the benches that are heavier and drip slower sound different too. There's a sculpture far to our right that has a spot that gathers water a bit and it pours out onto the ground." Walwyn was confused enough for it to show in his voice, "Yeah..?" He could hear each sound as he focused on them. He heard the other man snicker out a laugh, and opened his eyes to meet his gaze. "Isn't it pretty? The way nature has so many sounds. It's practically its own form of music. I like stopping to focus on each individual sound and appreciate them one by one. Not enough people understand how beautiful it is.. They just hear rain," Charles explained. Their eye contact never broke. ~ HI this is a huge work in progress! This story will be ongoing. It revolves around my original characters! I hope you enjoy.
