All my life I had done what I was told. I worked from dawn till dusk. Hardly ever having a moment to myself. My parents treated me like I was a slave, and I had come to believe that I was one. No matter what I did to make them happy, it never worked. Then one day they sold me to a rich stranger. I thought my life was going to be better with him. But I was wrong.
