"Ivy was a very normal girl. She was a straight-A student in the eleventh grade, about to finish her high school. Ivy is going through a tough time with the transition to another school. After escaping her small town life, Emily returns for the summer following finishing college for two things: to remind her self of why she left and to prepare for her new life in LA. She has three months of off time and when she runs into car trouble, her plans seem to make less sense as she learns that four years can change a man from trouble maker to small town sweetheart. Jake is just trying to make the most of his life. When the good girl comes home and runs into car trouble, he finds that not everything is what it seems and secrets in a small town can change everything.

As a small town girl, you try to get out, but something always draws you back home. Whether that be family, or you know that it isn't your time to leave just yet. Maybe, you haven't found the right reasons to leave. Regardless, you do what you can till you know the time is right.

The story started out normal...just a few teenage kids in highschool, living life free-spirited and to the fullest. Parties on the occasion, couples sprouting from every direction, just...having simple, innocent, adolescent fun. Not caring about anything, really. So, it sounds normal, right? It was normal.. was.

Lily meets her best friend, Sam, on the first day of kindergarten. They, along with their friend Noah, grow up together in a midwestern town, experiencing all the joys and trials that goes with small town life. The three of them are inseparable. But when the worst thing that can happen, does happen, Lily has to find a way to exist through it. Her story is one of friendship, family. love and the miracles that life has to offer.
