Warning: There is a lot of lore involved in not just the NIKKE plot, but mine also. May or may not be a bit confusing but I will try my best to make it not.

On Earth, it's the year 2150, and humanity has been nearly wiped out of existence by creatures known as the Raptures. Humanity flees within the depths of an underground haven known as the Ark, until one day, they can reclaim the surface. For decades, the survivors live within the protection of the Ark, until a mysterious human arrives.
  
  Together, with many more, they fight for the hope of reclaiming the surface, the surface that was once humanity's. However, along the way, they encounter an enemy that poses an even greater threat. A threat that threatens to wipe all of them out. Along the way, they will meet allies who will aid in their fight and people who risk their own lives to save what was once theirs, and they will risk everything to stop this threat and to finally bring prosperity back to their lives.
