The day Chrissy Cunningham left the town of Hawkins was the best day of her life. She moved to California to study, found new friends and tried to forget everything that had happened in the spring of 1986. She was finally free of her mother, of Hawkins and of whatever horrors went down because of her mother and Hawkins. And even though she also left behind Eddie and a promise of something that never really came to be, Chrissy forced herself to never look back.
