This book made my heart be ripped out, shoved through a paper shredder, tossed into a volcano and smothered in a campfire just for some extra flavor, you know? So to hopefully somewhat cure my depression that was single handedly caused by this book, and to shorten the amount of days it takes for me to finish processing this book, I'm writing this so Mateo and Rufus can go live a happy life in the little stories I've created for them because that's what happens, RIGHT? I PROMISE IM NOT DELUSIONAL AND THEY BEAT THE SYSTEM CAUSE ITS A BOOK AND THEY'RE SPECIAL, RIGHT?

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not. I took in a deep breath before taking his face in both of my hands and swooping down to kiss him. At first, I was so nervous I didn't realize that we were already kissing but after a few moments, I realized how soft his lips felt on my own. Before I can register it I felt him moving against me. I wrote and posted the first 3 chapters 4 years ago, yet due to my stupidity and insensitivity, I lost a dear friend over this story, which I regretted deeply. The idea was first inspired by another friend, who gave me some first hand experience of a cancer patient. Can't thank her enough. It's totally my fault that this story was delayed for so long. It's simply too good to waste, and not fair for her priceless contribution. There are also various things inspired by different friends online, who once bared their souls to me. Sincerely appreciate their friendship. It has totally 8 chapters. Each one has about 2000 to 3000 words.
