Following Pearl and sometimes Gem through Oxford University and the mysteries surrounding and within the castles, churches and buildings of other sorts.
As the pair work their way through studies and teachings they must work together with the others in the hermit society.

A long time ago Grian was an admin of an amazing server, but he was kidnapped from it, never to see his friends again. Then, he escaped, but everyone was gone. Ashlyn is the new girl in school, she moved from England to the US for her parents job, they are hardly home so she is usually fending for herself as they don't really seem to take too much notice of her, she arrives at her new school and her first day isn't exactly a good one and she ends up getting bullied, will things change though or much rather will hearts soften for her before it's too late. A/N: this is my own AU on the shiny duo but instead of it being a duo they'll become a trio, hence the title I've gone with Ethereals but you'll understand the context behind the title much later in the story (Now from what I know shipping shiny duo is fine with them but I am not planning to do am lot of it so i'll try to show it as more of a platonic relationship than romantic but have some gestures her and there).
