My eyes catch the strange shimmer that had been haunting my vision all day. Taking a deep breath, I lean closer to the mirror, my skin prickling. I thought it was a trick of the light, but as I stare at my reflection, my fragile lies crumble away.
My eyes, once a deep, dark brown, had transformed into something otherworldly. They now gleamed like twin moons, radiant and enigmatic. The silver hue swirling within them, reflecting the dim light like the surface of a still, moonlit lake. The orbs seemed to hold a universe within, depths of endless mysteries and ancient wisdom beyond my grasp.
