Ahvi Thakur is lost in New York, completely out of her element constantly on the verge of collapse, but it's bearable compared to the nightmares waiting back home in South Africa ready to eat her alive the moment she chooses to return.

Evren Kholodov has been trying to find his feet again after being sentenced to social pariah status following the events of his infamous freshman year involving his older brother's girlfriend, a few too many gaps in the evening and one too many drinks, weighing over his reputation and mind two years later like a shadow he can never escape.

Ahvi is out of options for a real story when her mid-term project arises and she desperately needs the grade to qualify for better financial aid, she looks for more unconventional options under Dawner Braun, a family owned gym and fitness chain famous for housing and training up-and-coming athletes including her Universities new MMA division.

Evren needs to get his head back into focus, with the current tensions surrounding his own life the last thing he needs is the girl from his past walking back into the last few safe haven's he has, he's on edge again. Neither of them want to face the alternatives of returning home, Ahvi and Evren are going to have to find a way to make New York a new start without getting in each other's way the only problem?
