When Amber Adams became a mentor at age 12, her life started falling apart. Her mom died and her dad left her, which was how she became an orphan, living in the stables until she was able to afford a house.
Ebony Winter was the daughter of Cinder, pressured into being perfect, but also fierce, in every way. The pressure led her to break, talking back to her parents and refusing to wear the restricting corsets and low-cut dresses. When she couldn't take it anymore, she had to run.
When these two characters meet, they could just save the world.
