The history of the Phillipines is believed to have begun with the arrival of the first humans using rafts or primitive boats, at least 67,000 years ago as the 2007 discovery of Callao man sighted the island of Samar island on March 16, 1521 and landed on homonhon Island (now part of guiuan, Eastern province) the next day. Homonhon island is South East of Samar island long before the arrival of Magellan, Negrito tribes inhabited the isles, sequently joined and largely supplanted by migrating groups of austronesians. This population had satisfied into hunter- gatherer tribes , warrior societies , pretty plutocracies and maritime oriented harbour principalities which eventually grew into kingdoms , rajahbates by Hindu religions, literature and philosophy from India in the early centuries of the Christian Era . State include the indianized rajahnate of butuan and Cebu , the dynasty of tondo , the August kingdoms of maysapan and manila .
