A Terrible Love

Fourteen years ago, Madison Cook was a sweet-faced girl who Callan had met the day before Mayworth Summer Camp closed early that summer. Especially after the strange disappearance of one of the campers, Madison's kindness and companionship was a ray of sunshine to Callan's grey skies and the darkness that had begun to settle over Mayworth.

Fourteen years later, when a shocking discovery made at Mayworth reopens a cold case on the missing camper, Callan Palmer and his friends return to the camp to assist in keeping operations running while the camp suffers a hit to its reputation.

At Mayworth, Callan learns that one of the suspects for the missing camper case is his childhood friend and crush, Madison Cook. Although, he could never believe that Madison is capable of committing a crime, he cannot deny that the girl he once loved and admired is not the same person that he meets as an adult. Madison is cold, brutally honest, and cynical to those she doesn't trust-and Callan is a stranger to her now more than ever. However, no matter how much time has past, Callan could read her well enough to tell she's hiding a secret.

And he fears it may be more terrible than anyone at Mayworth could ever imagine.
