Starting at the 118 was the best thing Buck ever did, it gave his life meaning, it made him feel useful and worth something. With that comes challenges with mental health and losing patients and accidents. He signed up for this, they all did, they signed up to be the people who rushed in to help even if there was danger. Everyone had their coping mechanisms some healthy and some not. Things had been rough this last year though, first his leg got crushed, he had a pulmonary embolism, he was told he couldn't come back to work, and then there was a tsunami. Even with now being allowed back at work after making the mistake of filing a lawsuit, things were still a bit strained. His family and home still felt like they were an arm's length out of reach. Then, things get even worse somehow when he and the rest of the team get sent to see Dr. Wells after a particularly rough call.
