A murder took place in a small village by the name of Valmore. Nothing out of the ordinary, until a massacre takes place every year since March 3rd 2001 at 10:33 pm. 

Every year since then 1 more person gets killed.

 Why? No one knows. 

Maelin Blade is the daughter of the chief police officer in Valmore. Coincidentally, she was born March 3rd 2001 at 10:33pm in the village hospital so when she turns 16, Mae decides to take it into her own hands to figure out who the murderer is and why they kill on her birthday date and time.
