"When my heart is as cold as ice, she makes me feel warm."

Davina Huxley is just a girl. A girl who dreams of a normal life in her not-so-normal Kingdom, the Kingdom of Ice. It's only when she's pulled away from her family, thrown into the Royal castle to be crowned queen, and falls into The Ice King's arms that she realizes her dream might not be what she truly wants.

Killian Cahira is a monster. He always was and always will be seen as one. He dreams of brutal, cunning revenge on the Kingdom that once looked down on him, so they say. Its caused his heart to be made of nothing but ice and stone. So when she enters his castle, everything changes. He begins to see the world in a new light, though he knows darkness courses through his veins. Nothing can change that simple fact. Not war, not revenge, and certainly not love.

As Davina and Killian face battle with each other, war with The Kingdom of Fire brews amongst the horizon, a war neither side can truly win, for destiny is no friend to these unlucky lovers.

Worlds collide, friends die, and morals change in this otherworldly series of events. Though, one thing has always remained clear: To stay together, they'll have to make the ultimate sacrifice. Protect each other at all costs, for The Heart of Ice.

I loved a man. Blindly, foolishly, selflessly, pathetically, and sinfully. I changed for a man. From a broken girl who feared even her shadow to a detestable villainess whom everyone cowered before. To give him the world, I took it away from the other. I believed, no, rather deceived myself that I would be the one to stand beside him. However, I was wrong. Outrageously wrong. Because, to him, I was nothing more than a pawn, a disposable. "Is this the end," she whispered as her heart rate rose violently as if to explode at any time soon and her breathing became shallow gasps. 'Ah, I really am a selfish person. After everything I have done to you, I still wish to be born as your daughter again. Will you forgive me, father?' She thought as a single tear left her shimmering golden eyes, along with the last breath that she took... ... "Till the end, you never looked at me," a man muttered after seeing the woman, who had robbed him of everything that he cherished, lying lifelessly with her enthralling eyes that shut eternally. He walked to her side and slowly caressed her cold cheeks before saying, "The world has become mine, but I have lost everything, Seraphina." That night, prince Reyan Crevaria usurped the throne, killed his younger brother, emperor Reagan Crevaria, and conferred the late Grand Duke Amaris Callenso's only daughter, Seraphina Callenso as his empress. A/N: This is a rebirth story about one very fiery girl. She is sweet like sun-dried dates and soft like cotton wool to her family but, to her enemies, even the goddess herself cannot salvage them from the little she-devil.

"I don't need a backup plan." Her doubt in him was offensive. Killian would move mountains to get what he wanted. He'd topple kingdoms, thrones and royals without a second thought. So long as he had the means. Forever oppressed as vampire General, the throne he hankered for seemed unattainable. Out of reach. Until her. "That sounds like over-confidence," She tutted, trailing her fingers across his lips. "It's me who'll die if that goes wrong. I'd appreciate a backup plan." Their alliance wasn't born from trust. Or lust. Not even toleration. They were pushed together without choice. Only circumstance called for rebellion. His words were a fluttery whisper against her mouth. "I promise you right now, we don't need a backup plan. Tomorrow, everything I've planned will go accordingly. Have a little faith in me Sinclair. I won't let you die." Separate plans. Separate motivations. Was working together even possible? She pressed her forehead to his, the distance between them nigh non-existent. "I hope that's a promise you're able to keep. If I die, I'll haunt you."
