When monsters begin to attack the Isles of Skellige in patterns more violent than years prior, a Witcher is called for help to find the source of terror. Moira Tuirseach, the Princess of the Isles, is less than thrilled at the Witcher's arrival- not due to the same superstition her people have against his kind but instead, she might be the reason behind such terror in the first place. While already living an untraditional royal life being raised by her brothers and her mage, Moira wields an ancient magic she has little control over and her mage has little recollection of ever knowing about. When the Witcher becomes roped into this secret to, the three of them realize that Moira may have more to do with their cursed island than she initially believed. But in the midst of her hunting with the Witcher (due to an unrelenting adventurous bone in her), she begins to yearn for him and the life she leads, all while her Queen sister-in-law prepares to marry her off. With the secrets she keeps from her family building up and the Witcher keeping his distance from her, Moira realizes there are more monsters than the ones she's cursed to terrorize her land and that what she comes to find out about her power will change the Isles of Skellige and their Princess forever
