When Kuroo first meets Kageyama during a training match between Nekoma and Karasuno, he is fascinated not only by Tobio's blue eyes, but also by his playful ability.

After the end of the training match, Kuroo promises to stop the fast attack of Kageyama and Hinata the next time they meet. A competition of a very special kind then develops between Karasuno's number 9 and the Nekoma captain.

Karasuno is invited to the summer camp in Tokyo at the Nekoma high school and the rivalry between the two black-haired men seems to really blossom. But suddenly Kageyama's behavior changes drastically, leaving Kuroo with a big mystery.
