Ellie Ferris has just graduated high school, and is so not looking forward to a summer of working for her mom and dreading the fall as college season gets closer. Having lived what she describes as "the most uninteresting life a person can have", she blindly accepts that this summer will be no different. When Scott Parker practically falls into her lap, she sees this as the perfect opportunity to make this summer the best one yet. But the anniversary of a terrible accident looms closer, unexpected visitors are in town, and Ellie finds her hands fuller than she expected. Maybe she should just live the boring life she's always felt she was meant for. Or maybe this could be her chance to turn it around.
