Of Fairies, Witches, And Trolls

Franz Meier is a 73 year old man who would love nothing more than to spend his twilight years alone in his bookshop, drinking tea and reading his favorite stories. Unfortunately his dreams of peace are disrupted one day by the sudden appearance of a faerie named Fralia. She tells him that he is their only hope in saving both the magical and mundane worlds as the last living Mistwalker, a bloodline that stretches back to the Brothers Grimm and beyond. Now he must learn how to harness his newfound abilities and fight back against the hordes that threaten the realms before it's too late. And he has to do all of it with aching knees.

Note from the author: I apologize if updates are inconsistent. This is kind of a backburner story to burn off some creative energy, so I don't plan on going too far with it. But if enough people like it, I might consider putting more effort into it. So until then, I guess I'll just write when I feel like it.
