Dreams don't always come true. Little princesses grow up to be stressed overworked secretaries, little policemen grow up to be depressed broke retail workers. You always dreamed of being an idol, yet here you are - in your second year of high school knowing and dreading your future of being an office worker at a dead-end job as an adult unmarried woman in Japan.
All your dreams were crushed when you learned your quirk at a young age - Siren's Song, you called it. The ability to charm anyone who heard you sing into doing anything you wanted. It sure sounds nice, especially for an idol, yes.
But then came the rumors.
"That creepy girl... Do you think she used her quirk on us to make us like her? Scary..."
"You'll never be able to hold a job if you use your quirk to entrance employers. They'll fire you for dishonesty and manipulation."
"Your friends don't really like you; you're just using your quirk on them, aren't you?! Haha!"
