James and Lily looked up at the same time and Sirius screamed internally when Lily's eyes narrowed looking between the two.

James was giving him a knowing look but said nothing.

And for a while very thing was okay. Neither of their best friends has mentioned anything. And they just sipped tea and enjoyed the company. That was of course until Marlene opened her mouth.

 

"So how's the married couple?" Marlene asked with a wicked smirk on her face. She was gesturing at where Sirius and Remus sat on the couch.

Sirius froze. What the bloody hell was she on about?

"What are you going on about Marls?" Remus asked, putting his book down.

Peter, who was sitting in the floor with Harry doing a puzzle, looked up laughing. " you guys don't remember?"

They shook their heads before he continued. "Yeah last night you two were so drunk you got married."

"Do you swear it?" Regulus looks deep into James' eyes, waiting for the faltering, but there is none. "I swear it," he says, gripping Regulus' arm tighter. There's a moment of silence, and then it is James who twists their arms, locking the charm in place. Not that either of them will remember it the following day, drunk as they are. -------- James and Regulus get really drunk and make an unbreakable vow.
