Anela (Ringworld 7-CR} circles the GV2 star Anelon in the Hermes Cluster. The endless day this makes is alleviated by a Nightshade, a half-ring that orbits within the orbit of Anelon. The Nightshade blocks the sun to make artificial night, where stars never shine.

Solon abandoned Anela 125 years ago in the third year of the Grolon War. In RingYear 4 (RY4), the Nightshade failed. The architects and engineers were gone, leaving no one to repair the damage, and no space equipment to work with. The Nightshade broke up with some chunks the size of continents. Some parts disappeared, perhaps into the sun or wandering anywhere in the galaxy, but a few still orbit, casting sporadic, brief night shadows on the Ring.

In RY125, Joss Anders lives in Hemmler City, managing the City's Recycling center. His Second-Class Degree in Mathematics, Astrophysics, and Celestial Navigation does not come with the near-automatic opportunity for marriage and child licenses. He lives the singleton life, common to most adult Anelons under 40. He and his best friend, Renny, enjoy the opportunities Hemmler City offers and find short or long-term Nightmates, known as friends with benefits.

Joss's life takes an unexpected turn for the better, and over the next few months, he lives a future lost after college. Many anomalies begin to puzzle and worry him. Nightshades cast their shadows more often. Standard weather patterns change for the worse. Crop shortages raise food and drink prices. The birthrate is twenty-seven percent lower than twenty years ago.

Joson repeats the calculation with the same result: the endless day of Anela will end.

[COMPLETED] "Love can be cruel," he mutters. "I thought it would be the reason I would propose, but it's not. Love never wins, does it?" Cruel. Devious. Twisted love. Love can play games, and we just happen to be the pawns. We play our moves strategically like a game of chess, until it comes to this moment. We can let the world separate us, stop us, pull us apart. We can let this old love between us fray at the edges. If love is a game, then Cato and I are destined to lose. "You're right," I whisper. "But love still exists. Even for a moment." His knuckles brush against my waist, before he decides to pull me flush against his chest. We're close, and burning, and his breath feels like electricity on my skin. In his green eyes, I see remnants of the heavens, the northern auroras flashing illuminating inside of them. He holds a new world inside of him, and I long to be the first to discover it. Cato's nose brushes up against mine, the space between our mouths fading like stardust. "Even for a moment," he murmurs my words against me. At once, our tensions release. ─── ·𖥸· ─── One half of her heart belongs to the man from the stars. The other belongs to the man of smoke and ash. LOST LIVES by Birbbirdbrid

Wandering had never been the best thing on many people's minds. Many people, especially young ones, like to wander around, however. They have high spirits, leap before looking, and generally see the world as fun to explore. Ones that do, so as well as disregard their personal values and aspirations, are generally seen as "lost". When the children all come home, none of them are lost. They see the bright daylight of tomorrow. They come home for dinner, sometimes for a quick snack, and get ready to set when they wander for next time. Although, some kids don't come back. That's not to say that they're gone. They're just lost. Lost in direction, travels, or just so happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Being lost does come and go through. If you're lost, you're gonna be found sooner or later. How much later, however, is another story. It all depends on where you stop and figure out that you're actually lost, and who is going to find you anyway. If you're unlucky, you might just have to wait to be found for a long time. Hope you brought a book. There was a teenage boy who went by the name Zubin, who had decided to traverse the raging blizzards of "The White Hell" on a voyage to another home. The reason is that it stands between him and a place where he could start over after his life in his hometown had been decimated by an unknown cause. The White Hell seems impossible to go across, and it shows in almost killing Zubin...if it wasn't for the introduction of a penetrating, soft, female voice. -------------------- The Three Mage Sisters and Hyness aren't mine and are part of the Kirby Series owned by HAL Laboratory and Nintendo, and come from the 2017 video game "Kirby Star Allies". It was 2050, the year of the misery. The world War 3 happened, a nuclear war which ended up making the earth inhabited. But luckily there were survivors. There was an organization called 'Octagon Veranda' situated on a lonely Island which was covered by a special Nano cover which was supposed to last 300 years and it's a shield against radiation, bioweapons and chemical attacks. This organization of scientists was created to survive the World War, which could've wiped out humans from Earth. The communication system within the island was advanced and had no connection with outside to prevent AI attacks. It was protected in each possible way which is why humanity still lasts. It is 2201 now. Our little island is the only place humanity can survive on the earth but sadly it's a small island. The population is rising. So now we have a lot more problems to survive than radiation. There are two parts of the island. Inside and outside. Simply heaven and hell on the same island. If you can get inside you are more than lucky. If you get to live outside, you better pray for death. Inside the island is the place where the Octagon Veranda, the main buildings and the city are situated. Octagon Veranda, we work on eight sectors that help humanity to survive. Each sector has a chancellor, and together that's the Octagon council. Edward Sallow - Nano technology sector Kane Johnson - Chemical sector Kirstein Evens - Mechanicals and communication sector. Jessy Terco - Environmental science, Biology and human studies sector Elsa Blake -Medical sector. Bell Bostic - Security, exploration and social work sector Penny Browns - Hydrology and Farming Sector Jupiter Terco -Astro sector

Someday - A Short Story by HowlEngel

Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story. I hope you'll like it. :D This story will be rarely updated, since I'm busy with school and stuff. So, sorry in advance. ~Just Perfect EDIT: As of 03/29/14 (arranged in this order: dd/mm/yy), this story has deviated from its original "pure romance," into something worth delving deeper into. Quite interesting. And because of this... "something worth delving deeper into," I have decided to continue the story with a PART TWO! Though that will have to wait until after Exile. Or maybe when I get tired of Exile and hope to continue this again. But either way, there WILL be a part two for those who want more zoophilia. Cheers! 03/31/14 (again, in the dd/mm/yy order): Added a simple cover. Will be using this until I am able to draw a better image resembling both of the girl's forms. August 6, 2014: New cover. I like it.

After three epidemics, fifteen wars and plenty of government disagreements, the world stopped numbering their years. The last recorded one was 2104. During that year, all hell broke loose. The continents started merging together, forming one giant landmass like they did when the dinosaurs were roaming around. All the countries disappeared and were replaced by sectors: Arctic, Ocean, Jungle, Desert, City, Cavern, Sky and Forest. In the very centre of the landmass, there is a small portion of land that is not claimed by any sector. That piece of land is home to one thing and one thing only. The Hollow. The Hollow is a small cottage, white-washed and red-roofed. It used to house criminals and now is occupied except for beasts that are caged in the Grotto, which is the name people have given to the basement of The Hollow. Now, since The Hollow is useless unless you need somewhere to store mythical legends, children are sent there on the seventeenth of each month to face tests to check if they are fit for living in this world. No child has ever lasted more than a few days. Until now. Eric Alastor is a thief who has no friends or family by the age of seventeen. Elisaveta Nebula is a girl who carries around knives to protect herself from the criminals crawling around her sector. Together, they will face The Hollow. Daring to walk alongside death every day, they develop a strong connection. Maybe it's just from the circumstances. Or could it have something to do with Eric's troubled past... Will they face their challenges with a smile on their face? Live to tell their story?
