In the near future, the life of a naïve, kind student changes when an unexplained meteor crashes into her school leaving only 25 survivors with remarkable abilities. When another powerful and crazed student threatens the world, she must unite The Guardians and save all of humanity.

"Guardians25 is one of the most well-written and original superhero tales in a long time. It's not so much about the powers themselves, but the characters that wield them." -Brett Moss

She opened her eyes, watching intently as the heroes slowly crowded on the rooftop around her. The moon illuminated their serious masked faces and flashy suits, giving Neera the opportunity to figure out what powers they might possess. She kept her eyes halfway closed and studied them. Most of the suits were at least 75% black. One hero stuck out in her blue suit. It had no black on it. WARNING: CONTAINING AMOUNTS OF SASS PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN TO MANKIND In the city of NYC--- Ok. Hold up. First of all, New York City. What, are ya gonna assume everyone here knows what NYC is? Anyway, this is about two people. I can almost hear you rolling your eyes. Another cliché teen fiction with a bad boy and a good girl? Nope. This is about superheroes. I can still hear you rolling your eyes. Superheroes. Like in comic books? Like people with super speed and mutant powers? Yes. But this isn't about the fight they have. More about the lives they lead without the masks. But just keep in mind, people who live in the world have all different skin colours. Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. And if you can name all the references in this book, you truly are a gift to mankind. Fangirl out.

Akira Hiromitsu had always dreamt of becoming a hero just like her father - a celebrated Guardian. A symbol of hope when times got rough. Yet, Akira lacked a vital requirement that every Guardian possessed. Elemental Magic. Though, with one heroic act, her dream became a reality. Akira has now entered the life of a Guardian and quickly discovered battling evil forces was much harder than she imagined. For the next two months, she will live with other Guardians, befriend them, and undergo harsh training while learning the ways of a Guardian - and more about the importance of her existence in the world. She'll also learn a mysterious fighting style, go on a series of quests, and meet the royal family. But during all of this, an ancient evil thought to have been banished eons ago has begun to resurface. With the assistance of a secretive and powerful figure will stop at nothing until he brings this unspoken evil back and brings pain to the very world that took everything away from him. ~ A story about friendship, love, divided families, and young heroes saving their world from evil. A story about finding peace with one self and growing from a dark place. A story about self discovery and finding ones purpose in the world. ~ In this book: Takes place in a modern fantasy land and incudes present day technology and usage of magic. 4 point of views. Monsters, demons, freaky creatures, and so forth... Explores a few dark subjects regarding corruption, manipulation, dark thoughts, and many others... Pronunciation guide A lot of intentional areas where characters use something out of nowhere to get out of situations. Silly battle banter. Vulgar language usage.
