On awaking from a coma John finds himself in a whole new world, full of people who he used to know and places he used to love. Including the worlds only Consulting Detective, Sherlock Holmes.

John dies and Sherlock blames himself, so much so that the guilt begins to affect his life. However, he keeps getting dreams of John talking to him and assuring him that he's not dead.
