Tormented by the memories of the past, the King of Mirkwood have turned his heart into icy cold stone. The memories he have when he lost everyone dear to him, his father, his wife, and lastly his CHILDHOOD FRIEND. Whom he didn't saw for thousands of years, that was taken by the evil that is attempting to weaken their kingdom, he agonized the memories, the happy and sad ones. But what if that childhood friend of him have been protecting, watching over him and have stayed always by his side along those thousand years?

Mirkwood (Thranduil and Tauriel post-BOTFA)
The relationship between Thranduil and Tauriel after the Battle of the 5 Armies. How Tauriel is dealing with the aftermath of the battle as she goes back to Mirkwood and realizes that she has always wanted Thranduil's love and affection in her life. It turns out there has been more behind their turbulent relationship than they let themselves believe. The story follows their relationship from the days and weeks after the battle to many years later, during the events from LOTR and after. I absolutely loved their chemistry in the Hobbit and this is my first fanfic. I tried to keep the characters as close to the movie versions as I could (since Tauriel only appears in the movies and Thranduil's personality is only vaguely presented in the books). I am also including info about what happened to Thranduil's realm after the Hobbit from the LOTR book appendices...
