They said a red string of fate binds two destined souls. It may seem like a cringe-worthy romance novel subplot, but tying these threads together is part of Scarlet Pearson's job as an appointed Fate Keeper.

Despite her human-like appearance, she can sight love. That's right. While the fictional Cupid emerges from popular mythologies, Scarlet is the immortal and realistic version of it.

Her typical workday starts with sightings of red threads not visible to the naked eye. She follows them diligently while posing as a human and makes the two people attached to it fall in love with each other.

After doing this for over a hundred years, it's only natural that she started wondering if romance awaits her too. However, the lady isn't about the get her hopes up. After all, she isn't seeing any red string of fate tied on her fingers-until she bumps into Marcus Choi, a ballad singer from a well-known celebrity trio.

Thrilled by the thought of experiencing love, will she chase after her long-awaited fate? Or will she uphold her duty and surrender all her selfish thoughts?

"YOU ARE MINE" Blake said. He had his arm around my neck preventing me from escaping. "Get off me you psycho!" I shouted while struggling to get free. "Blake think about what your doing!" Danny said while slowly coming closer. "DON'T COME ANY CLOSER MUTT!" Blake ordered. " You are my mate and no one else have you! MINE!" his wolf said. With that, his eyes turned black and his canines elongates. "Only mine..." he whispers and brought his fangs down upon my neck. "NOOOO!" was the last thing I heard before everything went dark. The day where Scarlet's dream comes true turns to her worst nightmare. Blake Bennett her alpha and mate rejected and humiliated her in front of her pack. Her heart felt like it was being gutted out trampled on. Unable to cope with the rejection, Scarlet fled and plans on suicide until she was found by Danny Walker. 3 years have passed, they both are a couple having a relatively normal life. They live in an apartment with the humans. Scarlet is a writer, she publishes her own books while Danny is an accountant. Scarlet misses her family like crazy and wants to meet them but will she be able to go back to the place where all her memories of the rejection and humiliation has taken place? He watched as her eyes skimmed over his dark eyes and black hair with barely a reaction. He felt his pride twinge a bit so he went further. Lifting his hands, he let the blood drip from them. Her eyes widened slightly and her chin rose. She looked at his hands then back at him. His dark eyes gleamed in a challenge. "You've not harmed me or mine, faery." She spoke out loud. "Blood does not scare me and neither do you. Keep your dog on its leash." Then she turned and calmly walked back inside. Intrigued now, he went to the window of the house and watched as she reassured her mother that the dog was gone "I'll see you tonight, reckless child." He promised softly. **** Marcus felt himself beginning to wake and struggled to stay in the dream. But it was no use. His eyes opened and he released the pillow his hand was gripping. It was the same one that she had laid her head on every night. His head went into the pillow heavily for a moment, breathing in her faint scent. He hated and treasured dreams like that with equal fervor. He rolled over on his back and stared at the ceiling. It had been decades since she'd been forced to break that promise. He lifted his hand and touched the ring that had been her last gift. It had been decades, but it was yesterday. ***I did not skimp on the steamy scenes so consider yourselves warned ok? There are also a few violent scenes that I'll try to remember to put a warning before so you'll have a heads up. Any of the pictures/artwork were found online so I reserve no rights to those just the story. But I do reserve all rights to the story. This story runs concurrently with "Bloody Desire" and "All Roads Lead to Rome" Awesome new book cover is courtesy of @ScarlettOlivier. She's awesome. Check her stuff out.

Finding love isn't easy. But when you do find it and it betrays you, how are you supposed to love again? That's the question. The same question that Scarlett Jones had been over analyzing since the day she witnessed her boyfriend cheat. He'd been the only thing standing in her way of breaking, and as she watched him throw the words, "I love you." Out of context. She could feel herself breaking. Her mother had left her and her father at a young age. Causing serious issues at home. Her father coming home with rage from being out all night drinking. It seemed as if Scarlett's whole world was coming crashing down. Until she meets Seth Bowers. He's the good boy you'd bring home to meet your parents but had a mysterious physic to him. And what Scarlett finds is protection, love and comfort she'd been lacked the gift of.
