Eighteen year old Haven Black's mother went missing, along with thousands of others in the city of Los Angeles. With no leads from the police after a month, she takes matters into her own hands. After a year of fruitless searching, she finds herself witness to the implosion of a weekend house party. Awakening the next day to find herself one of the survivors, along with her ex-boyfriend Julian's group of friends, she discovers she shares a rare gene with them. The scent of the short teen used to have was gone, replaced with the putrid smell of death and rot that covered the whole room and the killer himself. Blood smudged all over the teen and onto the older man as he attempted to escape. He got hungry and tired. He just wanted to eat and then sleep. Hostage. Prisoner. What ever you wish to call it. They won't let me nor my friends leave. Taken by a cannibalistic family and claimed I was being adopted into their family. I already have a family of my own. And what of my friends that's with me? They're the main course. In the little town of Norbury, Canada, there have been several people disappearing without a trace.
