Eighteen year old Haven Black's mother went missing, along with thousands of others in the city of Los Angeles. With no leads from the police after a month, she takes matters into her own hands. After a year of fruitless searching, she finds herself witness to the implosion of a weekend house party. Awakening the next day to find herself one of the survivors, along with her ex-boyfriend Julian's group of friends, she discovers she shares a rare gene with them.
