How unlikely was it? That her and now introduced neighbour would have developed a friendship due to the dinners her grandfather had arranged for both families. But that's not their introduction.

Sophie Adams, who came home from work one day to find a pair of strangers to knock on her apartment door, never thought that they would hold a place in her life. The headache of forming new friendships was weighing on her, and so was his smug grin and innocent demeanour. His only saving grace beyond his green eyes is that her cat seemed to adore him.

Samuel "Sam" Williams only cared to see his neighbour smile his way. He was entirely captivated by that challenge, and the surprise of their shared connections amplified it more.

Excerpt: I laughed with my best friend. Joey had slipped by stepping on a puddle of water. He rubbed the back of his head and smiled a cheeky grin. We were having fun. We were best friends since we were like one. We were still laughing, but the scene changed. I wasn't laughing anymore. Only Joey was laughing. And he was laughing with his new friends. I was left behind. I was crying now. "Why?" I found myself asking. "Why did you do it, Joey?" "Who are you?" Joey asked, no recognition in his eyes. He had abandoned me. He forgot me. ------------------ The Big Five are an infamous group who have a nasty habit of breaking hearts. Their members include Joey Gordon, the natural leader; Sam Fisher, the sweet talker; Alex Northwood, the star quarterback; Eric Parker, the mysterious bad boy; and Roger Pickles, the smart artist. Wherever these five goes, trouble follows. Nicole Peterson is an independent teenage girl who is determined to keep her past behind her and move forward without any distractions. When she becomes the center of attention because of her former best friend's slip of the tongue, she is turned into a game. From his bet that she would never give in to any boy in the group, the five bad boys become determined to be the one to crack her and take her heart. Already struggling from a previous breakup, will Nicole give in to the wooings of the five most popular guys in school, or stand her ground and graduate at the top of her class like she promised? *Awesome cover by Kurahara*

✨ GOLDEN HOUR ✨

8 parts Ongoing

Sophie's summer plans were simple: reconnect with her best friends (Madison and Ella), soak up some sun, and forget about her break-up. But when she arrives at Ella's picture-perfect estate, things start to get complicated. Jasper, her childhood crush - Ella's older brother challenges her to a "Golden Hour Challenge": they'll meet every evening at sunset for one spontaneous, bucket-list-worthy activity, just as friends. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jasper smirked slightly but didn't back down. "Just calling it how I see it. Any ways, you owe me from your loss the other night." Sophie opened her mouth to argue, but nothing came out. Because a part of her knew - knew he wasn't completely wrong. Jasper studied her for a moment before his expression shifted into something lighter. "Alright, then. Let's make it interesting." "What do you mean?" She raised an eyebrow. "A golden hour challenge." "Like, the lighting thing? You want to do selfies?" Sophie frowned. Jasper shook his head. "No, dumb dumb, like... every week, during golden hour, we meet up and do something we've never done before. Could be something small, could be something big." Sophie eyed him skeptically. "You just made this up."
