Thomas Murdoch Armstrong was born to be the 11th laird of Mangerton. That was brought to an end by the deaths of his father, his family, the Armstrong clan, and life as he knew it. Penniless and enslaved on a pirate ship by the notorious Peter Love, Thomas must fight for survival on the high seas. Betrayal, redemption, and adventure lie ahead.

This is a work of historical fiction, but some characters and events are based in fact. The main three characters are my original characters.

CW: A bit violent. Hangings in chapters 1 and 13. Animal death (hunting) in chapter 7.
Nothing is gory or overly-explicit, but if you disagree leave a comment and I can add additional content warnings.

HISTORICAL ROMANCE - ADULT CONTENT Ella Fitzpatrick is a beautiful young lady from a wealthy family. Her mother high and well respected in social circles. Her father the best doctor money could buy. Most women her age are already married with children, however, these marriages are often loveless and arranged to benefit social status. Ella wants to marry for love and she certainly doesn't love Andrew Shapel, the most recent gentleman of high standing to propose to her, much to the approval of her matriarchal aunt who is convinced she has found Ella the best husband in high society. Unfortunately she has sent her to her doom. Andrew may be devilishly handsome and charming on the outside but on the inside he harbours a darkness no one would suspect. She is left for dead on a pirate ship! Falling in and out of consciousness as she is dragged to the brig and left in the darkness with nothing but the painfully vivid recollection of how she got there as company. With the crew calling for her to be thrown overboard and saying a woman on board is a curse, she realises that she is at the mercy of the captain, who doesn't take kindly to stowaways on his ship. She is petrified and prepared to die but little does she know that from the very first moment Captain Thomas Tyler lays eyes on her he finally believed in love at first sight. Placing her under his protection, his anger directed towards those who used his ship as a way to dispose of their crimes. He promises to return her to her family and hopes in time that the memories that haunt her soul will fade. One thing he wasn't prepared for, protecting her from himself. A lady and a pirate is absurd! (NB) Written using modern day colloquialisms intermingled with historical essence. In a daring twist of fate, Lord Cutler Beckett, presumed dead in the wreckage of his ambitions, is saved by the enigmatic Catherine Torres, a Spanish spy. She emerges as his formidable ally, both in the boardroom and in matters of the heart, becoming his "media naranja" - his better half - the missing piece to his grand design. She infuses mysticism to his logic and meaning to his strategy, forging an unbreakable bond. As their iconic partnership evolves, they navigate the tumultuous seas of love, diplomacy, and geopolitical warfare, standing united to redefine the downfall of piracy. In this romantically charged adventure, Lord Cutler Beckett gets the ending he always deserved.
