Story Summary :

Meet Shez, a book-loving daydreamer from a small town in Kashmir. Her life is filled with mundane routines of existence, but her heart yearns for the love she's only ever found in fictional tales. With a heart full of longing, she's trapped in a world of daydreams until one day fate decides to intervene.
-
I jolted awake in the middle of the night, my body drenched in sweat and my heart racing. I sat up in my bed and held my chest, my breath coming in rapid gasps. My gaze wandered aimlessly through the inky darkness of my room.

A soft smile tugged at my lips as I watched her serene expression. With a sigh, I gathered my damp hair and hastily twisted it into a bun, annoyed by the discomfort of it being soaked with sweat.

I reached for a bottle of water on my nightstand, then settled by the small window overlooking the night sky. The time read 2 AM on the clock, but the world outside was a tranquil sanctuary. The moon hung in the sky, a perfect, luminescent orb, and the stars adorned the darkness, each one distant yet distinct as if they had found their ideal places in the vast expanse.
A thought crossed my mind, wondering if this celestial view would lose its allure if the stars were closer to the moon. It was a moment of serene beauty that soothed my racing heart and regenerated a sense of calm in my restless soul.

But little did I know that this night, this moon, and these stars held a secret I was about to discover-an extraordinary connection to another dreamer, a soulmate, who, like me, shared the same inexplicable obsession with the night sky. Unbeknownst to us, once in a hundred years, a pair of kindred spirits experience the same vivid nightmares and an insatiable yearning for the stars. The mystery of our connection was about to lead us on an extraordinary journey of love, destiny, and celestial wonder.

NOTE : It's a sequel to "Lost" and cannot be read as a standalone. ● ♡ ● "Are there any stars?" She inquires and he doesn't understand what she meant. There were no stars. "Can you see the moon up there?" She continues. There was no moon. "It's dark." Ayansh replies when he sees her waiting for his response. Inaaya turns her gaze to him, a peculiar look swimming in her eyes. "Exactly." Ayansh looks back at her, more confusion getting painted over his face. "It's dark. No stars, no moon, nothing." Inaaya adds solemnly. "That's how we're and that's how things between us stand. I trusted you and you broke it and that's the end. There's no hope or light here. All there ever will be around is despair." Ayansh listens to her and after a moment, carefully, takes a step ahead and a slight relief washes over him when she doesn't flinch. "Look up again." He whispers and after a little reluctance, she follows. "Surely it's dark," he says as she watches the sky ardently. "But it doesn't promise to be dark forever," he murmurs lowly and her heart thuds against her ribcage at the determination his voice held. "It's dark today but tomorrow? Maybe tomorrow, there will be stars and the moon too. Maybe tomorrow, you can see the light and the hope too. Maybe tomorrow, the despair would fade away." 🥀 That's the thing about soulmates; they always find a way to each other. ALWAYS. Ayansh Mehra and Inaaya Rai were a little naive, a little foolish in love but oh, they were so in love and it would be a shame if they couldn't find their way back to each other, to the arms they belong, to their HOME.

"Are you coming to bed firefly?" He says to me laying his hands over my waist joining me in looking over the city. "I want to look out for a little longer if that is alright?" I mumble hoping that he heard me anyways, I wasn't ready to walk into that bedroom, and I don't think I ever would be. "Of course, I'll be getting ready for bed, come in whenever you are ready." He says confidently and walks away leaving my waist cold something for which I am grateful. Especially when my mind burns with other more dangerous thoughts. The warmth that forever lingers in the air, never burning the skin, but always reminding about what is around us. I force air into my lungs feeling the unexpected warmth fill me. He stands in the room watching me even though he said he was getting ready for bed. He is worried about me, about me jumping. I have contemplated it I will admit, but he would stop me before I fell even two feet. I was stuck, and no one could save me. Not even myself, my fucking weak self. His presence is demanding no matter where we are, but right now I could sense everything about him, and I try to suppress the unwanted feelings that curl right under my skin. "Firefly? About done?" He calls out and I release my hand from the guard rail not realizing that as I looked at the lights that covered the shining city with the falling fire in the background that my subconscious was thinking about how nice it would be... how relieving it would be... to just fall. True freedom. I take a step back and wrap my hands together turning around to a fully clothed unchanged man and nod once. I could see the fear in his eyes that I would, he knows if he gave me the chance... I wasn't ready for this, but I had to survive. No matter what. Highest Ranks: #17 In Romance #5 in Soulmates

Two souls, as different as night and day, yet both carried by the winds of fate toward the same horizon. Shehnaz Kaur was a girl who found her solace in the pages of books, in the flutter of bird wings against the backdrop of a rising sun, and in the endless constellations that stretched across the night sky. Her heart was always somewhere between the earth and the stars, floating in the quiet spaces that most people overlooked. To her, the universe was a story written in the clouds, the rhythm of life told through the whispers of nature. She adored the simplicity of the world above-its vastness, its beauty, its infinite possibilities. Sidharth, on the other hand, had lived a life shaped by structure and grounded ambition. At 36, he was no stranger to the weight of responsibility. He was a man who understood the intricacies of design, of form and function. But beneath his pragmatic exterior, Sidharth had always been drawn to the sky-to the shifting clouds, the shade of dusk that softened the harsh lines of the day, the quiet pull of the moon, and the scattered stars that filled the night with silent wonder. The sky, with all its unpredictability, spoke to a part of him that longed for freedom, for something beyond the life he had so carefully built. They were two souls, shaped by different worlds shehnaz who looked to the stars with a heart full of dreams, and Sidharth, who watched the sky with a mind full of questions. She lived in the delicate dance of light and flight, and he in the stillness of the moon and the shifting clouds. One found meaning in the infinite, while the other sought order in the chaos.

This assignment came up last minute! I am so desperate to see you! SERIOUSYL!." Proofreading wasn't her thing. "You mean 'seriously' ?" He added the 'eye roll' emoji. "See! You get me! Now, do you believe me? I ain't fooling around!" She smirked while adding the same emoji. "But I wanna fool around!" He inserted three wink emojis, making his intentions clear. She rolled her eyes, but a pink hue on her cheeks said a different story altogether. "I think we should do this..." She typed as she lay on the couch. "Shoot!" "Whenever we meet, we meet for the full day. From morning to evening, sunrise to moon-set, we can do whatever we feel like doing! We either stay in or go out, whatever our hearts say. But that'd be our first and last meeting!" She hesitated before hitting the send button. "And then we never meet again?" "Nope." "You're suggesting what exactly all guys want from their 'first' dates!" He grinned. "Some girls like that too ;)" She shook her head and backspaced. "I don't know about all boys." "Are" "You" "In?" He could feel her smirk across the screen. Without meeting her or watching her face, he knew her well enough to understand her emotions. "I'm so in! 24 hours and then never again. Sounds so perfect!" "Final then! We only meet once and then never see each other ever again!" She blushed another pink while typing. He smiled reading that.

"You?" She yells. "You feisty cat, look what have you done? You have teeth or cutters?" "And what the hell did you just do? You scared the hell out of me." She announces. "Because that stupid tongue of yours wasn't letting me act humanely towards you so I need to do that." He grabs her hand and drags her along with him, towards his car. "What do you think you are doing? Leave me." "Get inside the car quickly, " he orders. "I won't. What do you want from me?" "Answers. If you think I will let you go without having the answer to why you ignored me then that won't happen. Now get inside," he says in a low voice, completely opposite of me. "And do you think I will go with you? Never." I remove his hand from my wrist and rushes back but he again grabs my arm. "You jerk! I will shout and tell people you are kidnapping me," I try to punch his chest. He chuckles. "You will say your husband is kidnapping you? Wow!" This time, he succeeds in making her sit inside the car. "Tie the seatbelt, girl." "Unlock the car right now," she stressed in every word. "You are so stubborn," he sighs and bends towards me. As soon as he comes closer to me, I drag myself away from him, barely making myself stick to the door. He looks into my face as his hand grabs the seatbelt and pulls it in front of my body. He leans near to my face, his eyes never leaving mine, "but I can't help.
