Raina is the 7 year old daughter of Carla (5th soul rider who is also an OC). Her mother was only 11 when she found out she was pregnant with her friend, Tom's, baby and gave birth a month before her 12th birthday. Raina's grandparents helped raise her, but when Carla turned 18, she decided to move to Jorvik for university, moving in with her aunt, who lived there and agreed to look after Raina until Carla gets home. But Carla also tells her daughter lots, including things mentioned in druid meetings, which drew the attention of the dark riders and dark core who wanted information about the druids' plans, and so they make a plan to kidnap Raina.
