Diana Cassiopeia Black lives with her father Cygnus Black III and her sisters Bellatrix, Andromeda & Narcissa in Black Manor. But as each of them grow up and attend Hogwarts, Diana is left alone with her father and tutor at Black Manor. Diana and Sirius decide to visit their uncle Alphard. During one of these visits, they meet half-blood Eliza Edwards and muggle-born Jasper Warrington, who they become friends with. Sirius and Diana would sneak out often to meet their friends. It is much better than being alone at home.

Blair Astor Lestrange is happy until her older brother Rodolphus graduates from Hogwarts. After that, he becomes more distant and gains an obsession with the Dark Lord and eventually becomes one of his closest followers. This hurts Blair because Rodolphus had always been there for her, and now he isn't she feels alone and unloved. Then, at his wedding, she meets Diana Black, and her life is better- she helped in a way no else ever could.

Blair meets Diana's friends Sirius, Eliza and Jasper and the quintet forms a bond that they thought could never be broken.

But what will happen when they start Hogwarts? When they are sorted into rival houses? With a war looming right around the corner, sides being chosen, friends to rivals to enemies, new friendships and having to deal with school all on top of that... Will anybody make it out alive and well?
