"can they appreciate his big eyes that were the color of an ebony tree? the curly mass on his head that bounced with his movements? the sweet lips that would curl into a smile so bright it could put the sun to shame?

i walked back into the classroom, and the only one i saw was aurum, and when aurum looked up at me with a soft smile grazing his face, his gentle eyes crinkling, and those dimples-i knew it, and it clicked as all of the neurons in my brain seemed to spark and crackle in delight.

i wished to look at him all the time, and i wished he would look at me forever too.
