Umakoa is a vast tropical island in the Pacific, almost entirely untouched by humans due to its remote location. Lush jungles and rainforests with mountains, streams, waterfalls, sandy beaches, and almost every food and animal imaginable fill the island, living in an unthreatened harmony.
One day, a three-month-old human baby is found shortly after a ship anchored briefly close to shore, and he was mysteriously left behind. Without his family, he is certain to die, but a band of gorillas take him in and raise him as their own, and give him the name "Mihala".
Book one of the five part series will take you through Mihala's and day-to-day adventures from childhood until the age of eighteen. Follow his boyhood, his bond with his gorilla family and siblings, his shenanigans with the friends that he makes, lessons he learns about life and the jungle up until he reaches an important stage of his life that also serves as his most challenging dilemma in his short life, so far: finding a mate.
Mihala has watched as his friends around him pair off and find their mates as they matured and came of age, but he soon feels left out, and he begins to desire finding his own mate and having a family. If only he could meet a female of his kind, but the only human Mihala has seen in all of his years living on Umakoa, is his own reflection in the water.
Each book in the series will cover important events and ages in Mihala's life until the age of thirty that will take the reader on an emotional journey through the good and the bad, revealing pieces of his shocking story at a time.
