Peace. Prosperity. Love. Health.
After the Mockinjay Revolution, Panem had been revived, rising from the ashes to create a stronger nation and an even stronger bond with its districts. The spoils of war and the delicate wounds from the violence had civilization softened with contentment and happiness. But of course, humans are complicated creatures with short memories and history was dumped under the rubble like the ruins of District 12. Welcome to the 25th Hunger Games.
May the Odds Be Ever in Your Favor.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Main character, Mixalis Yu, struggles to feed his family in the slums of the Seam. He has known pain. He has known despair. He has known sacrifice. But most importantly, he has known chaos. That afternoon when his brother's name was called out to the cameras in front of the entire country, he felt his heart drop to his hollow stomach as if time itself has stopped to grieve the loss of such a happy soul. Unable to stop himself, he became one of the first volunteers the Districts has seen since the Revolution and stood in the same place where Katniss Everdeen stood decades before. In the crowd, he spotted her and in a blink, she was next to him. They were doomed to die together. A dandelion in the spring.
Perhaps in the next life.
Victor's Crown: A Hunger Games Story
Before Katniss Everdeen set fire to the nation, and before the boy with the bread declared his love for her, there was Finnick Odair, living legend of Panem. Ψ ••• Ψ If Finnick Odair wins the 65th Hunger Games, he'll be the youngest victor ever. After several years of bad luck and unfortunate circumstances, District 4 is in dire need of a victor, a hero to save its people from the merciless tyranny of the Capitol. Considered a prodigy by many, Finnick is confident he can return his home to its former glory and restore its eminence in the eyes of the nation. Aided by his mentor Mags and his magnetic personality, Finnick enters the decadent world of the Capitol and instantly makes himself a favorite, the newly proclaimed golden boy of Panem. But Capitol favor alone won't keep him alive for long. When Finnick joins his fellow Careers, each of them older and more experienced than he, to face an arena hiding danger around every corner, it becomes clear these Games are designed to push him to his limits. Between battling Gamemaker schemes and fearing his own allies' betrayal, Finnick is confronted with a pivotal question: How far is he willing to go to wear the victor's crown? As the Games progress and his body count rises, Finnick finds that the closer he gets to victory, the further from humanity he strays. After Snow Falls
The Capitol has fallen and all of President Snow's supporters have scattered. Many await their fate at the hands of an angry public or the scheming of their past colleagues. But Charasija Snow has a different fate. As the granddaughter of the late President Snow, the most hated man in the country, her parents had but two choices. One, let her share in their death and end the family line or two, send her away with a new face, new identity and nowhere to return home to. If she could go back she might have asked them to choose the first. But no one gave her a choice. Charasija is given the name Winter and sent to grow up in an orphanage alongside other Capitol children. But without any real love or family Winter sees no reason to care about anything, much less her lessons and future. At 18 now she is kicked out of the orphanage with only one possible job open to her, work in the newly opened coal mines in what was once district 12. The New Panem needs coal faster than they can update essential machinery to replace it, so Winter is sent with other fellow aged out orphans to work in the coal mines. This is her last chance to build a life for herself before she becomes homeless on the streets. What will life be like for the twisted and complicated young woman? And what will happen when she sees the controversial inhabitants of that town? Namely, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark.
Her Victory, Their Life| F. Odair
The Hunger Games has been a tradition for the past 74 years. Well... maybe it was time for traditions to change. The victors were angry. They were promised a free-better life if they won. It wasn't all it was promised. Nothing ever is. "Emporia Falkum? Is she even a threat?" "Absolutely, killed 11 people in her games, won at 13 youngest ever." "So kill her first. Any weaknesses?" "None known, and she's actually a lovely person, hard to believe I know." I own nothing except my own original characters and plot lines.Concluida
.The Trackjacker & The Mockingjay (Katniss Everdeen X F.OC).
In a Panem that followed a history different from what we know. In such a world, tributes are pulled from the same pool, and so in addition to being reaped, sometimes you just know you don't have a chance; two boys from District 2 would plow through the rest, and all you can do is cry. ---------------------------------------------------------- She lived in 12 for generations of her family, but not in the filth, nor was she in a family of victors. No. She was the child of peacekeepers; she was trained to fight, in special schools for them, and even her name was only once in the reaping bowl as she grew, no matter what she did. People like her would be 12's future peacekeepers, raised and trained on site for generations of their families to be sure they know all there is to know about the district they'll keep in check. ---------------------------------------------------------- She grew up in 12, in the poorest part of 12. She'd hunt for her family with her friend and would exchange some wild game with the on-and-off boyfriend she had, son of the baker, or her best friend. Her life was hard. And so she watched with envy those kids who got fed for nothing, taught to handle themselves so that in the future they could control them. ------------------------------------------------------- How will life turn out if two of these people get to meet under different lights, in the 74th arena of the Hunger Games? ----------------------------------------------------------- Other Hunger Games books: Forest Fire (Johanna Mason X F.OC) - Completed Shake Plushy (Enobaria X F.OC) - Completed Stone & Lumber (Johanna Mason X F.OC) - Completed Splinter (???
