Andrew and the Dragon Pendant

This is a fantasy love story.

Long ago, in the time of dragons, there was a magical pendant. This pendant belonged to the Protectors of the dragons. It had been passed down from generation to generation. Legend says, this pendant, was made from the scale of the most powerful dragon to have ever existed. That dragon's name, was Anastasia. It is said she gave one of her scales to one of the Protectors just before she died. It is said, the man took the scale, and as it lay in the palm of his hand, it turned into a dragon pendant. This pendant made the Protectors powerful and helped them protect the dragons. Unfortunately, the dragons began to disappear mysteriously. At that time, a woman, the descendant of the same man who received the scale from Anastasia, her husband, and two of her children, were the current Protectors. She gave the pendant to her youngest daughter, Avyanna, who was only 11 years old at the time. Then, the little girl's family set out to find the missing dragons. But, they never came back.
Avyanna took it upon herself to protect the last remaining dragons. With the magic of the pendant, she concealed their home to other humans. She was determined to protect the dragons as long as she lived. What she never realized, however, was that one day, a special young boy would stumble upon this magical land full of dragons.
Andrew has liked dragons since he was a little boy. He used to believe them to be extinct, like everyone he knows. However, after a conversation with his grandmother, he begins to wonder of they really are. It was always his dream to see one up close. And meet a Protector. One day, when he was on his way to his college when he was eighteen years old, his car skidded off the road. He managed to crawl away from the wreck. He weakly crawled through some brush, bushes, and trees. His eyes were wide when he saw the one thing he never thought he'd see. A dragon.
