The coyote pack gazed at the patrol, teeth showing. Animal blood dripped off of their jaws. Eaglepaw felt like he was going to explode with worry. The coyote pack was now circling them, tails lashing and eyes gleaming with hunger.
"What are we going to do?" Sparkstar hissed. "We only have five cats on this patrol. We possibly can't fight the coyote pack off!"
I've failed them, Eaglepaw thought. "We're not going to make it out alive. We're going to die here, without a burial."

The white fox will destroy the werewolf world. It's a legend that every wolf knows. We never hunt white foxes for fear it will be the one in the legend. If a white fox burrows in your territory, it's a sign of bad luck. We all run from white foxes. We were told as pups that if we were bad, the white fox would come to our pack, and the next day, our pack would have never existed. There are laws from the elders that if we find the white fox (not that anyone wants to or will), we were to hand it over immediately. We were not to engage in conversation with it or interact with it at all. So we never expected her to come so peacefully... | "What do you want from me?" I exclaimed. He stopped walking and laughed. "You stupid fuck. I want you to stop fighting me. I want you to shut up and do what I say." He grabbed me again. My muscles tensed and I tasted blood in my mouth. My pupils were dilated. He dragged me to the kitchen again and grabbed my cup that was still on the table. "Drink. It." I grabbed the glass and took a sip. His nose crinkled. "No. Down it. Drink the whole thing." I down it and coughed again. It was so bitter and I recoiled. My head spun and I felt like I was going to throw up. I held my head and closed my eyes. The world spun so much faster when I closed my eyes. He held me under my chin. "Listen. You pissed off a powerful man while you were gone. He wants you and I'm not giving you without a price. So next week, after the paperwork is filled out, you're gonna be good. Or I'll lower that price. Do you understand?" I nodded my head as best I could but it made me even dizzier. He let go of my chin and I felt myself falling. "Now you haven't drank that much. Don't tell me you're out for the count. I haven't even gotten started with you." he grabbed a bottle of beer and handed it to me. I almost dropped it but managed to grab the bottle by the neck right before it left my hand. "Drink." ( discontinued to be rewritten ) Huntingtown was panicking; no one knew where the sirens were coming from. There was no electricity, and there was no way for the storm Sirens to be sounding, yet they were. The entire Town was awake; everyone had a weapon. They had grabbed guns, knives, swords, and bats if they could be wielded and used for self-defense; Renee aimed her rifle at the trees, looking desperately for an explanation. Why would a siren sound? They only sounded when they were in Danger, so where was the Danger? When the predators revealed themselves, that was where the siren noise was coming from. Renee could feel her heart jump into her throat. Her face went pale; they were here. They had found the Town. Terror and panic soon swept Huntingtown; everyone knew what those monsters could do. After all, they did conquer the planet and impose the "choosing." Huntingtown was created hoping that its isolation in a cold climate would keep the Predators away, but it didn't. A voice came over those speakers. A male voice Gruff and laced with a growl. It was almost as if whoever was speaking was annoyed and angry. "Although I have enjoyed seeing your little Town outmaneuver many hunters. I am afraid this is where your little games end. However, I will give you a chance to keep your freedom. A hunt. You will be red by your best hunter, Renee Madison." Renee felt her blood go cold as she stared wide-eyed at the ship. She was unknowingly dropping her gun at the news. " she will be your leader; she will be my prize. You have a time advantage. Go!" The ship took off, looking for a place to land, all while the news sank into the Town's residence. Renee had known she had fucked up when she fired at one of those predators and hit him. She had proven herself worthy of the hunt. Now she has to face the consequences, not only her but her entire Town had to. Renee had to win this hunt; the fate of her Town depended on it.

Hi Readers, Before you read this book, I just wanted to say that I am currently in the process of rewriting this story. Changes, whether they are big or small will be applied and things will most likely be cut. I am looking towards making this story more consistent since its not evident in the first draft. I hope that you will continue to support this story nevertheless of the changes made. Kindest Regards, Christine *** Prologue "She's here! We've found her!" The girls parents came racing over to the river bank that separated the two werewolf packs. "She's not breathing! Why isn't she breathing?!" The man pushed the woman out of the way gently and leaned down to check the young girls breathing. He put one hand on the girl's chest and started compression. He checked the girl's breathing again and continued with compression. The girls started to cough up river water. The man pulled her swiftly to her side so that she could expel the rest of the water out through her mouth. "Oh, honey!" the woman gathered the girl up in her arms and squeezed. The girl looked around disorientated. There were strange men and men from her own pack standing around her. "What happened?" She murmured. The woman looked down at her daughter with tears flowing down her face. "You nearly died." *** *Check out the rest of the prologue for more* #1 HigherPower #1 EpicBattles 2# Flames 2# PackMates 36# Power Copyright © All Rights Reserved 2020 NeoNixButterfly21/Christine Copyright © All Rights Reserved 2021 NeoNixButterfly21/Christine Copyright © All Rights Reserved 2022 NeoNixButterfly21/Christine ~ All chapters hereafter are protected by copyright. As a runt, Jade didn't think she'd ever find a pack willing to accept her, even though she has gained an impressive set of skills while surviving in No Man's land. A chance encounter provides the opportunity to prove her worth, but when she arrives, against all odds, she picks up an irresistible scent. Her soulmate. Standing at a crossroads, she must decide if she's willing to grasp at her chance of unconditional love-and risk the heart-rending pain of rejection. As a runt, the odds are not in her favor. -------- On a side note: None of the main characters are mated to an Alpha. No character has 'exclusive' abilities or powers. ----- Excerpt: My steps faltered as I noticed that two of the pursuing wolves had sped ahead and were waiting to intercept me. I launched toward a tree and ricocheted off at a ninety-degree angle without slowing down. One of the wolves behind quickly followed and began closing in. I started to panic, looking around frantically for a way to escape. I saw a rabbit burrow under a small bramble bush and desperately raced towards it. I darted under the edge of the plant and heard the tan wolf go around as he expected me to come out the other side. It gave me the precious seconds I needed to squeeze down the tunnel. My relief was short-lived - the rabbit that dug this burrow had not survived long enough to finish it. The tunnel was only about twice as long as the average human arm, and I could clearly see the entrance. I sent a silent prayer that the bramble bush would deter them and that they would not realize just how shallow this burrow was. I waited anxiously.
