Corey Verr has no idea what he's going to do with his life. Surely he won't be stuck taking care of his younger siblings forever? His twin sister Korral seems to have her whole life planned out already, and at nearly seventeen, there's not much time left for him to decide.
He always thought he would end up living his days out in district four, getting married to the man of his dreams, having his own kids some day. He never expected for that dream to be ripped away so coldly when he is picked as the male tribute to represent district four in the seventy-fourth annual Hunger Games.
When his sister volunteers to go alongside him, he doesn't think things could get any worse. Corey knows he won't survive the games, he doesn't stand a chance, not like his sister does. Corey is determined to get Korral through the Games alive, until he meets someone who makes him want to keep living.
Peeta is everything Corey wishes he could be- charming and sweet and above all, determined not to let Corey die. With the new feelings blooming and new alliances and rifts appearing between tributes and siblings, is it really possible for Corey to survive?

DISCLAIMER: I do not own The Hunger Games trilogy, it was written by Suzanne Collins. This book may contain some pretty tough topics, so just beware.

❝Who are you? Who 𝘢𝘮 I?❞ ✑✑✑✑ All tributes know when and how they get in the Arena. The Victor, however, never knows when or how they get out. Not until Claudius Templesmith announces their name and district to the entire nation. Once the tribute becomes a victor, they're taken out of the Arena. Only to eventually realise they never truly escaped. The nightmares, the cameras, the deals, nothing ever lets them forget. Their entire lives, they're reminded of what they did. The mask of luxury that covers their sleepless nights and destructive thoughts, is kept in place by the finest glue known to President Snow; a bit of hope mixed in the bowl of darkness and fear. There's but one problem with that mask. For it to work, the victor must have two essential things; haunting vivid memories and loved ones they would trade their lives to protect. One without the other is to no use. So when Olive Navin Cresta survives the 69th Hunger Games with no recollection of her time in the Arena, the mask gets destroyed before it's even placed. Please, don't forget, the odds are never in our favour. ✑✑✑✑✑✑✑✑✑ 𝕒𝕞𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕚𝕒𝕔 /𝕒𝕞ˈ𝕟𝕚ː𝕫ɪ𝕒𝕜/ 𝕟𝕠𝕦𝕟, '𝕒 𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟 𝕖𝕩𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕒 𝕡𝕒𝕣𝕥𝕚𝕒𝕝 𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕠𝕥𝕒𝕝 𝕝𝕠𝕤𝕤 𝕠𝕗 𝕞𝕖𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕪.' ✑✑✑✑✑✑✑✑✑ I DO NOT OWN THE HUNGER GAMES I only own my OC and part of her family. The Victory Tour? Over. The Quarter Quell? Over. Katniss's life? Over, as far as Peeta knows. Sure, the games may be over for Katniss and Peeta, but the real battle is only just beginning. The Rebels in District 13 managed to get 3 Victors out of the arena. Peeta Mellark, Finnick Odair, and Beetee Latier are seemingly safe in the depths of 13. Katniss Everdeen, Johanna Mason, Enobaria, and Annie Cresta are seemingly dead in the custody of the Capitol. They're being held prisoners, having God-knows-what done to them. Their strength will be tested. Their loyalty will be questioned. Their love will be jeopardized. How will Peeta deal with Katniss being held prisoner in the Capitol? How will the Rebels get her out? And most importantly, what will the aftermath be? DISCLAIMER 1: I do not own ANY of these characters - all Hunger Games material belongs to Suzanne Collins.
