this is the second book to the hope wasn't made for us series. following Evelyn once again eight months into the new world that they no longer shared with biters, and everything was back to almost normal. but it couldn't stay happy forever as she is faced with untrustworthy leaders and secrets within her tight group. and a new type of virus. a new type of biter. she once again goes on a journey to figure out who is behind all this. was it a final attempt from Micheal to gain power again or was it someone she thought she could trust. and having to come to terms on being a parent, a friend, a partner and a leader.
