I wanted to create a book so realistic it frustrates readers, where there's no escape from the truths of life. The kind of story that keeps readers on edge, breathless with worry and anticipation for the characters they've grown to love.

Love can be a wicked, transformative force-a truth Sloan and Luke come to know all too well in Selfish Appetite. Love can make us act in strange, unexplainable ways. It defies convention, refuses to be defined, and no bond is ever the same as another.
