Kinuyo Nishi has risen to the top position of Chihatan's massive Sensha-do team, but ascends to the role of General as the school is in its darkest period yet. A bright commander who shuns the traditionalist codes of Bushido that the school has usually followed, she has only attained the General position thanks to the previous commanders being killed in the previous tournaments, and the replacement officers being inexperienced hardcore traditionalists.

Under her leadership in the months between the 74th and 75th Tournaments, Chihatan has made progress in shifting from charge-oriented strategy to more open-minded, logical planning, with great help from her sidekick, Haru Fukuda, whom she has made her Lieutenant-General, or Vice-Commander.

With the 74th Tournament having come to an end the previous year with a surprising one-man victory from Ooarai Girls' Academy, its sole survivor of 32 students is campaigning hard to promote a safer form of Sensha-do. Her work has seen much fruit: governments all over the world are condemning Sensha-do's lethality and calling for changes or otherwise abolishment of the sport. Nishi believes that if she can hold out long enough in the upcoming tournament, it will be cancelled due to international pressure and diplomatic intervention, and the lives of herself and hopefully all of her team will be spared, but that's a big "if".

With her first match in the tournament being against Saunders, she, being in the disadvantage, elects to take defensive positions. As a result, the venue chosen for the match is none other than Iwo Jima. Coincidence? Maybe.

This fanfic of a fanfic is heavily based off of the superb movie "Letters from Iwo Jima", I highly recommend you give it a watch.

[COMPLETED] "If you're going to do something, do it the lady way." Straight forward, gracefully , not letting anyone in your way and keeping your eyes on the goal. That, my friend, was the lady way. Jun Takahashi comes from a small family that people at Ouran would consider 'poor'. Her mother always taught her growing up to do things the lady way, which was to still act like a lady but be dominate and not let anything stand in your way. Be aggressive, yet graceful at the same time. Be a lady but take charge like a man would. As her mother gets more ill, she only wishes for the best for her daughter and her older son Kyo. The siblings decide to try and get into Ouran High School for a better life but Kyo shakes his head at the idea of her going to Ouran, stating that she's just a fragile little girl and would break under the pressure of such a school. He says that she wouldn't make it through the year there, even if she was a boy. Neighbors agree, friends agree, her father agrees, grandparents agree and heck, even the pets could agree at this point. Deciding to prove them all wrong - she takes charge. Doing it the lady way, the unisex name changes from Jun, a female to Jun, a male. Dressing up as a boy and getting into Ouran. It wasn't all that hard, until she bumped into the host club. Accidentally breaking a statue that was on display in the music room, her families debt gets deeper. Yet again, she takes charge and does it the lady way, agreeing to become a host to get her and her family out of this debt, and show her brother that she can do this too. The thing is, she came in as a boy and that's what they'll know her as until the day comes when they all find out. No matter what, she'll continue to do it the lady way.

The Rising North

31 parts Ongoing Mature

Since the inception of Panzerfahren in Germany, later adopted as Tankery in Britain and most of the world, and later known as Sensha-do in Japan. Canada was once a dominant force in the world of tankery throughout North America and the British Commonwealth. However, this golden era came to an abrupt end in 1987 after a series of defeat in the International Tournament to Japan and the stock market crash, leading to funding halts in Commonwealth's countries. Now decades have passed, and Her Majesty is requesting her loyal servants to rebuild the neglected sport, the former pride of the Commonwealth. As a result, a Canadian team emerges at Fort Nelson's Academy, where the cradle of Canadian tankery began. How would this academy fare in a sport now dominated by Japan? (Note: Names and locations may be fictional, if its real, its just pure coincidence and altered from the real one, some real locations and names and events may be used.)
