In the dragon-dominated world of Dragovar, Eragon, a Terraflame dragonet, checks a triggered trap he set around his home and find a human inside it. However this human is dressed and acts differently from the tribal humans he'd seen. He shows him to his parents as proof his trap is successful and begs them to allow him to keep this human as a pet, which they agree too.
  
  But little do they know that is human is a summoned to Dragovar to save it from an alliance between an evil dragon and a power-hungry human king. And together with Eragon and a female ally, they will purge the world of this alliance before irreversible harm is done.
