Cameron Hunter has always lived his life in silence, figuratively and literally. The moment he was born he was unable to hear his own cries, hear his mother's soothing voice (or at least what he guessed was soothing), and never got to hear the beautiful sound of music. All his life, Cameron has struggled through his shaded (thanks to his parents) life and found only a single friend out of the hundreds that attend his local high school.
Sidney Marriott was always the first kid out the door, her foot already in another. She is nosy, a center of gossip, and she is the complete opposite of what you would think of a rich man's daughter. She loves danger, drugs, and especially, hot boys. She enjoys the thrill she gets from a bad idea, a mistake that she made knowing full well what terrible consequences could occur.
When these two people meet, the silent heart and the wild heart, at first they clash. Sidney finds Cameron's easy way of going through life as an insult and sees Cameron as a project to fix. Cameron, however, does not believe he is broken. Their story is filled with pranks, hatred, many grand adventures, and, strangely, love.
Stephanie Coleman's life is perfect, she's in the honor roll, has caring parents, and the two best friends she could ever ask for. She's cheerful and can light up the room the second she steps in, everybody loves her.
Dylan Reed is your typical arrogant jerk in school. He treats every girl like a piece of shit and doesn't give a fuck about a girl's existence. He's popular in school and a kiss from him makes history.
Steph hates this guy the minute she laid eyes on him, but mix these two together and you have one hectic friendship. And soon, Steph discovers that maybe Dylan isn't really what he appears to be, maybe behind that mask of anger hides a thousand stories that aren't meant to be told, even if it meant reliving the past.
**WARNING: this story is very cliche as I am a sucker for those, so if you don't like cliches, you have been warned ;) and we were 13 years old when we made this so also be warned about the first few chapters for they are very crappy
