Eda looked at them for a moment. "Sorry, this just... Feels like a date." She replied. She bit her bottom lip. "Would that be so bad? I mean it-" "Yes, it would," Eda replied with a sharp tone, that seemed to nearly impale through their heart. Raine stared back at her with a hurt expression. They stared at their lap briefly, wondering what they'd done now. How could they make it past this point? Were they supposed to just be there? Just be there and receive all her punches until she just broke down, and begged them to stay with her? "What.. Is it about me that you don't like?" They finally asked, watching her eyes finally meet theirs. "What?" She asked, stunned her hair falling over her face. Clearly, she styled it to hide and not look like she had somewhere to be. "Huh?.." She muttered, brushing her hair behind her ear. "There's a reason, right? You don't just hate me?". They asked, letting out a sigh, looking at her with pleading eyes. Both adults stared at each other. "Raine. I don't hate you.." She said under her breath. She kept thinking of him. The first man to break her heart Edalyn Clawthorne, a seemingly independent, indifferent woman who didn't care about the traditional values of the world. Getting married, and having kids.
