Note, this takes place before Infinity War and ignores the bit in Black Widow where the Red Room, also known as the Black Widow Program, was terminated. Also ignores the Socovia Acords. However, she did not die and went on to live a life as an assassin-the only life she knows how to live. When a string of strange, animalistic, maulings occur in New York in a time between battles when the Avengers have too much time on their hands, Captain America aids in the investigation.
