- The King's Broken Promises -
In a faraway kingdom, a valiant Prince named Nathaniel, who dared to defy convention and fought for the liberty to love freely, found himself in a predicament. Despite his father's insistence upon an arranged marriage, Nathaniel's heart was irrevocably bound to Velliena Ivory, a woman of unwavering faith and indomitable spirit. However, their love was fraught with peril, as Nathaniel was betrothed to another and Velliena faced insurmountable obstacles of her own.
Velliena endured heartache and loss, yet never relinquished her faith in God. In her darkest moments, she sought solace and guidance from God, her Best Friend. But when a quarrel with Nathaniel threatened to rend them asunder, Velliena made the agonizing decision to depart.
Years elapsed and Nathaniel ascended to the throne. He had not forgotten Velliena and often pondered her whereabouts and well-being. Meanwhile, Velliena had returned to the town after years of absence. She heard murmurs of a King who had fallen in combat and wondered if it could be Nathaniel.
At noon, after her return, she visited the place where they had first met. There, she wept for the loss of the King she thought was Nathaniel. But it was not meant to be. King Nathaniel often visited the place where he had first encountered Velle as well, yearning for her presence every day. And there, amidst the flowers and fireflies, he beheld her once more.
Their eyes met as tears welled in Velliena's. The King hastened to her side and enfolded her in a tender embrace. They clung to one another, lost in the moment, as if no time had passed at all.
However, this is not how the story ends: "Your Highness, you have received a letter from your Mother. She is on her way to see you very soon."
Their love is collided by Nathaniel's mother, Ruth, and Velle's secret admirer.
This is a tale of love and faith, of duty and sacrifice.

"Thank you Nate, no one has ever done anything like this for me." I don't know what possessed me to do my next action, as I closed the inch of distance between our lips. Perhaps it was floating in the air or rushing through my blood, but just this once before the madness ensued I wanted to kiss him.
Maybe I shouldn't have let myself give in for a single moment, but I was only human and he was unlike any man I had met in a long time. Our lips pressed together, eyes closed, arms pressed against his chest as he brought me closer. We moved in sync and this feeling made everything melt away.
