Jenna (Je-Na) Young was the daughter of an employee for a K-pop training studio in Seoul, Korea. Her grandparents had passed on her mother's and her father's sides respectably. Her parents were only children and they had no other relatives. Her mother was American and her father Korean and she had been born a beautiful baby: big blue eyes and a v-shaped face.
She was living with her mom in America when at thirteen her father decided that he wanted custody of her and her mother who was poor, had no money for a lawyer to fight to keep her. When her father arrived to pick her up, her father allowed her mom to ride in the limo to take them to the airport.
A tanker had slammed into their car, killing her parents instantly and leaving her in intensive care in the hospital all alone.
She wakes up later to find herself in Korea, alone and scared with no one but the staff of the K-pop company to help her. With a language barrier and no knowledge of how this new culture works, she has to learn to fit in.
It's here that she learns she has a gifted talent for singing and dancing.
