The Wizarding World is huge and a very large space in time was needed to hide it from the muggle world. The more the populations grew, the bigger the hole got and eventually it threatened to rip apart the universe. U-765. Muggles have ventured to the past before, in hopes of stopping a madman from disintegrating half of the living population. They stopped him but with restoring all the life he had taken, they created an even bigger hole. Now, the future is at stake, not just muggles. All of us. The Universe was in the process of falling apart while they paraded around like King Farquaad from that muggle movie, Shrek. While they feigned superiority, the muggles, the mundanes were evolving, were becoming better than them because they couldn't let go of their past and salvage traditions at the same time. What a shame they were to this universe, the universe they claimed to love.

Pluto did not by any means intend to get into a Portal accident that results in a trip a hundred and twenty years into the past. Naturally, they assume this is just some kind of weird, interdimensional mishap, a wave of unpredictable magic, a couple of misdrawn runes. Christopher has been apprenticed to the man who co-invented Portals for long enough to be pretty sure this isn't the case. Portals fail, but Portal failures don't cause time trips. The problem is there aren't any other reasonable suspects. Actually, that's not the only problem. The holler goblins Pluto dedicated themself to contacting have broken with their reclusive nature and followed them to England, where they're attacking Shadowhunters...and turning up dead. p.s. this is an import from quotev, so if you see it over there, that's what's going on. Or, mad scientists, nonbinary time travelers, and Kentucky goblins vs. the plot of The Last Hours.
