A Cat for Mu Qing

As a child born in poverty, Mu Qing did not have as many opportunities as other children to have his wishes granted. Nevertheless, he fondly recalled that one time when his mother bought him a cat-shaped blown-sugar candy after she returned home from work. To Mu Qing, the memory of that moment was sweeter than the candy itself, even if he knew that such a thing might never happen again.

He never thought that several years later, someone unexpected would allow him to relive that once-in-a-lifetime experience.
